Wireless RF Engineer

Providing technical support and assistance in the field of RF (Radio Frequency) systems, specifically focusing on Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) by assisting in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of RF equipment and ensuring optimal performance of DAS systems to ensure successful implementation of the designed systems.

Responsibilities

  • Performing DAS/Small Cell designs using software planning tool.                                  
  • Modeling the projects and Master Unit equipment design using software planning tool and Microsoft Visio.
  • Simulate the results for the designed system.
  • Optimize and finalize the designed system based on Customer’s KPIs.
  • Make the Documentation and the presentation for the project.
  • Deliver technical service and support to end-users through phone calls and e-mail communications.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software.
  • Creating trouble ticket to document the customer complaint with the troubleshooting steps done.

Education

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with Communications as a major.

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.

Language

Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic languages.

Fluency in French is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of cellular networks specifically 4G and Small Cells. 5G is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of DAS is an advantage.
  • Basic networking knowledge (CCNA is a plus).
  • Field experience is a plus (Site Survey, CW Test, TEMS investigation, NEMO and commissioning)
  • Prior knowledge of iBwave or other software planning tools is an advantage.
  • Customer handling and Troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office specially (Excel, Word and Power Point) and Business Writing skills.
  • Desire to learn more in Radio Engineering.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities, aptitude to understand and explain technical information, interpersonal, communications and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Able to work rotating shift patterns is a plus.
